SYP Action! Teams

The Evolution of Salem Area Young Professionals is here.

It's time for Salem Area YoungPros to move beyond monthly events and towards partnerships with community groups you're passionate about.

Introducing Salem YoungPros (SYP) Action! Teams.

The creation of action teams as a part of Salem YoungPros will give 20- and 30- somethings in business the opportunity to establish goals and make a difference in the community.

Where do we start?

YoungPros passionate about collaborating with downtown partners have already begun to make headway.

"SYP Action!_downtown" is taking form as the first ever SYP Action Team. This group of YoungPros will be the connection on downtown issues and activities for all Salem YoungPros and will make themselves available for your questions, comments, and concerns relating to all aspects of Salem's core area.

If they don't have the answers to your questions, they know who will.

(Pictured at right is Casey Robinson of US Bank who took the challenge on introducing Kyle Sexton at November's luncheon event.)

Did you know?

Did you know that the City of Salem currently has an ordinance limiting the height of downtown buildings? That's right - even if a private property owner wanted to help Salem "build up" we can't because current laws prevent any building from being higher than the Capitol building.

Odd right? An issue like this is one example of why YoungPros need their voices and minds to be heard.

Meet the Players

The following Young Professionals have expressed interest in being your connection to downtown issues and events. As their action team moves forward, they'll look to other YoungPros for advice, guidance, and support.
