Speckman speaks on vision

April 13, 2006

80 Young Professionals made their way to the Boys & Girls Club on Summer Street to listen to Willamette football coach Mark Speckman.  YoungPros enjoyed a boxed lunch prepared by Trudel's Delicatessen in West Salem as well as a brief message from Salem Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Mike McLaran on the importance of voting in the upcoming May election (pictured at right).

Speckman shared a presentation focused on vision which came from his unique perspective. Born without hands, Speckman learned patience, resilience, and perseverance. His speech on vision and what it takes to be an effective leader caught the full attention of the YoungPros crowd.

As April comes to an end your Young Professionals Leadership Team has put together a May full of choices. On May 5th, YoungPros have the option of heading to the 13th Annual Salem Rodeo at a price you won't find anywhere else. On May 17th, the Young Professional will meet at Creekside Golf Club for the group's first coordinated breakfast presentation featuring Life Coach Jennifer Powers.  If either of those two dates don't work with your schedule try joining us on May 19th for a Salem Stampede basketball game. In the month of May there are plenty of ways to be connected!
