YoungPros hit the roof in downtown

July 28, 2006

YoungPros were treated to a VIP experience in the month of July thanks to Ida Lafky of Lafky and Lafky Law Offices located on Court Street in downtown Salem. A sold-out group of over 60 YoungPros attended the social.

The exclusive location provided a unique opportunity for YoungPros to enjoy food and drinks with peers in a relaxed environment. Acoustic guitar and vocals by Matt Boyington and Jonathon Westfall added to the ambience as attendees enjoyed rolled sandwiches, Corona, and wine.

The Lafky apartment and rooftop deck is located at the core of one of Salem's most historical streets. Kevin and Ida Lafky are currently involved in constructing the Front Street Condominiums on the corner of Front Street and Court Street overlooking Riverfront Park. Their housing project is set for completion between a year and a year and a half.

Close to half of those in attendance were visiting YoungPros for the first time including Andrew Walker of Portland.

"This event is great compared to similar networking events I've been to in Portland," said Andrew Walker, a mortgage consultant with Cognitiant.

The momentum of the Salem Area Young Professionals program continues as the group jumps on board the Willamette Queen Sternwheeler on August 22nd. Capacity is limited to 75. For details click here.
