Celebrating One Year at WVV

September 29, 2006

120 Young Professionals registered for the one year after hours celebration at Willamette Valley Vineyards on Thursday, September 28th. The day marked the official end to the first year of YoungPros events and networking.

Owner of Willamette Valley Vineyards (WVV) Jim Bernau (pictured at right) and Sales Manager Mike Kuenz treated the YoungPros to an evening of wine tasting and tours.

This particular event was a special treat for YoungPros. The behind the scenes tour was perfectly timed to witness the very first Willamette Valley Vineyard grapes being prepared for this year's harvest. Tour guide Mike Kuenz mentioned Willamette Valley is particularly excited about this year's harvest due to unusually dry August and September weather which has created almost perfect conditions for harvesting.

Also as part of the evening, Tom Hoffert, Chair of the YoungPros program and Sales Manager for Don Pancho Authentic Mexican Foods took time to recognize the YoungPros Leadership Team for their hard work and dedication in coordinating a consistent schedule of events that are both timely and unique.

The YoungPros legacy continues with a line-up of great events which will take us through the rest of 2006 and into 2007. Starting with a unique look at a local agricultural landmark known as E.Z. Orchards, YoungPros will continue to have special opportunities to engage themselves in events and venues that shape Salem.
