YoungPros pack Viticulture Center
February 23, 2007
A sold out crowd of over 55 YoungPros headed to the hills of West Salem
for advice and direction from three of Salem's most prominent business
leaders. Dick Withnell, Chairman of the Board for Withnell Motor
Company,
Dave
Hafner, President of Professional Mortgage Corporation, and Terry
Frohnmayer with First Commercial Real Estate Services shared their
insight and life stories with YoungPros on Thursday morning, February
22nd.
Withnell, Hafner, and
Frohnmayer all shared messages depicting the importance of engagement in
community affairs and the importance of educating yourself on the issues
the community is facing as an aspect of leadership. Pictured below is
YoungPro Jeff Nine asking the featured panelists about their advice and
experiences in balancing work and family.
A number of YoungPros
commented on the event as one of the more inspirational events
coordinated to date. The event was also success due to the great food
and service of the Northwest Viticulture Center, a branch of Chemeketa
Community College. The full breakfast included coffee juice, muffins,
pastries, eggs, and potatoes.
The
message of leadership and involvement was a great sage way into next
month's event at the Salem Chamber. YoungPros are encouraged to take
some time on March 21st between the hours of 5-7pm to see some of the
service organizations they can help support. Participating organizations
include Habitat for Humanity, Shangri-La Corporation, United Way, March
of Dimes, and many more. Take advantage of this
Volunteer Fair along with some wine and
appetizers in March!
