Over 100 YoungPros at Don Pancho!

Thursday, June 28th 2007

Over 100 Young Professionals showed up for the YoungPros monthly event at Don Pancho Authentic Mexican Foods on Tuesday, June 26th. For $10, attendees got a great lunch compliments of Don Pancho and Los Baez, a locally owned family restaurant.

One of the more memorable moments in YoungPros history took place when all the attendees had to sport fashionable booties and hair nets as they took tours of the facility.

Not only did YoungPros enjoy a great lunch, they also had the opportunity to meet President of Don Pancho George Puentes personally. Puentes spoke about the history of the company and about what Young Professionals can do to get engaged in their community.

"I wish I had a group like this when I was younger," said Puentes. A number of speakers over the past months have complimented YoungPros on getting active and learning more about how to be engaged in the community at a young age.

"One of the most important things in business is understanding the connection between business and political atmosphere," said Puentes. "Even though you might not see the connection now, if you stay in business you will understand why you need to stay engaged with what's happening in government."

The group also had a chance to take a tour of the manufacturing facility where 3 million tortillas are made each day. Don Pancho has facilities in Utah, Washington, and North Carolina with their base of operations right here in Salem, Oregon

YoungPros will move from Don Pancho in June to Enchanted Forest in July. For details on the summer's next get together, click here.
