Salem Area Young Professionals

70 YoungPros reserved their seats for October's breakfast event featuring three Salem business leaders. Joining the crowd at Illahe Hills Country Club was Christy Witzke of SAIF Corporation, Ryan Allbritton of US Bank, and Bo Rushing Barnes of Rushing Real Estate.

All three speakers shared candid thoughts about where they currently are and how they continually strive to reach that next level in their professional careers.

"Work ethic and attitude are so important," said Allbritton. "Also, treat others with the utmost respect."

Bo Rushing Barnes shared a story of risk and reward. Barnes jumped out on her own in the competitive real estate industry and has been moving forward ever since.

"When taking a step to go into business for yourself, you have to trust that it will work out," said Barnes. "You have a choice between having fear or faith and I chose faith."

October's event also marked the beginning of YoungPros Spotlights. This web page will feature 3 different YoungPros every month on what it means to them to take that next step of engagement in their community.

November's event will feature lunch at Alessandro's in downtown Salem with guest Kyle Sexton of the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce.
