Salem Area Young Professionals

Over 60 Young Professionals packed on the Willamette Queen Sternwheeler for a great evening of networking, socializing, blackjack, and poker. The sold out event was a hit with newcomers as the environment made it natural to make new business contacts across gambling tables.

Roughly 8 prizes were awarded to YoungPros at the end of the night. 1 raffle ticket was given out in exchange for every 5 poker chips. A special thanks to the prize donors including That Food Guy, Sherman, Sherman, Johnnie & Hoyt, Resident Lending Group, SignWorks of Oregon, Willamette University, and Oregon Community Credit Union.

"This event was great," said Michael Lopez of New York Life.

Another special thanks goes to Wes Chapman who provided great live music throughout the night. Crowd pleasers from classic bands including Journey, Elton John, and Billy Joel were featured as a part of the cruise.

"The event was a unique way to network with other Young Professionals in the area," said Leslie Davis, an intern with the Salem Chamber who was attending her first YoungPros event. "I'm looking forward to the next one."
