Two New YoungPros Join 2008-2009 Leadership Team

Tuesday, July 1st 2008

Two new members have joined the YoungPros Leadership Team. Zac Hill of Resident Lending Group and Nathan Knottingham of Professional Mortgage Corporation have agreed to serve and assist in helping other professional in their 20s and 30s connect with each other in the coming year.

"I'm really excited about joining the YoungPros Leadership Team," said Hill. "Young Professionals are connecting current and future business and civic leaders within our city."

Zac (pictured at left) grew up on the Washington peninsula.  He moved to Salem in ’94 to attend Corban College, named Western Baptist at the time.  He earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and then continued his studies at Oregon State, go Beavs!, where he earned his master’s degree in advanced math education.  He spent the first five years of his career teaching high school algebra and geometry, four of those at West Salem High School.

Zac is a member of the West Salem Rotary club and a volunteer leader with the West Salem Young Life ministry.  His company is also a member of the Marion & Polk County Homebuilder’s Association.

Nathan Knottingham (pictured at right below) is a native Oregonian.  Spending the majority of his life in Salem he grew up in NE and graduated from McKay High in ’98.  Following brief hiatus after graduation he attended Corban College and graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor degree in English Communication, Bachelor degree in Business Management and a minor in Music.

His professional career started with a six year performance at multiple Starbucks stores in Salem.  During that time he worked his way from barista to store manager, his last role was as the manager of West Salem.  He identifies his experience at Starbucks as a tremendous growing period that allowed him to find his leadership style and work on his teaching and planning skills.

In May of 2007 Nathan transitioned vocations and joined Professional Mortgage Corporation as a Loan Officer.  With the support of family, friends and the mentoring of David Hafner and Mark Patterson the last year and a half has been a great experience!  The flexibility of schedule, meeting new people and helping clients fulfill their goals are a few reasons he loves being a mortgage professional.
