YoungPros & the Golden Man

About 60 Young Professionals took a special tour of the Oregon Capitol building on Tuesday night, September 30th. The tour was actually the last of the season to the very top of the building where visitors can witness a spectacular view of Salem from all angles.

YoungPros also lucked out with a great sunset to cap off the evening. Art and Laura, two volunteer tour guides split up the crowd for visits through the House of Representatives Chamber and the State Senate Chamber followed by a trip to the top of the building where the Golden Man resides. Pictured at right is Art discussing the biggest industries in Oregon. Oregon's number 1 industry is High Tech, followed by Agriculture, Wood Products, and Tourism.

YoungPros Chair Leslie Thompson now passed on the torch to incoming Chair of Salem YoungPros, Amy LeFore of Saalfeld Griggs PC. Thompson will continue to serve on the Leadership Team and assist with coordinating and managing future Salem YoungPros events.

October 16th marks the date of the next YoungPros event where the next 6 months worth of programs will be unveiled over a full dinner with wine at Copper Hill Events Center.
