YoungPros heard from four featured speakers on the economy as a part of November's sold out event. Over 60 professionals in their 20s and 30s heard from Alex Russell, Contributing Professor of Finance at Willamette University; Art Ayre with the Oregon Employment Department, Dave Glennie, local business developer; and James Sturdivant of Paulson Investment Company.

The speakers, pictured at right, had the major challenge of sharing their perspective on the economy in a very brief amount of time. Russell focused on the liquidity in the marketplace and the issues we're seeing in lending practices while Ayre focused on the latest unemployment data within the State of Oregon. Glennie shared his perspective on the impacts of the economy on business and Sturdivant encouraged YoungPros to be smart and responsible with their financial decisions.
